We came home from another fun-filled Disneyland vacation. Whenever we're in the same room as someone who mentions they are going to Disneyland, we automatically invite ourselves. So nice of us, right? We piggy-backed on the Turners' planned vacation and they were, as always great company. We stayed at the Anaheim Plaza which is growing on me and becoming a favorite more and more especially since in comparison, it's on the less-expensive side for across the street hotels. With little kids, you have a stroller with your things, and occasionally other people's things. Whether its a parking lot tram or a hotel shuttle bus, the mere fact that I don't have to empty, break-down the stroller, while keeping track of two kids has become life-changing and so nice! In the amount of time spent doing all that and waiting, we've walked the distance to the hotel, which is literally where we just lay our head for the night so the layers of paint and thick caulking is kinda no big deal to us.
Trip Lesson: We are in the 'season' of young kids = vacationing with them is way more exhausting than staying home but the creating memories is what's important... at least that's what I keep telling myself.
Saturday we spent at Huntington Beach because well, who doesn't love the beach. Jordan & I were non-stop watching, chasing and "playing" with our kids. They want to be running near the water, jumping waves, yet still way too little to be left alone or even just watching from a small distance.
Sunday was suppose to be another beach day - but we slept in, the Turners had plans with family in LA, so we opted to go to Disneyland a day early instead. We strolled around the park just how we like with no agenda other than Carson's great desire to ride Radiator Springs. We'd measured him at home a half dozen times, and were still on the fence about whether he'd make it. The height angels were watching over us -- because he cleared with some thick socks and shoe inserts that made this little boy SO GIDDY FROM EXCITEMENT!
| He's right up front and center... so funny you can hardly see him. |
