Merry Christmas.

Jordan and I had a very Merry Christmas. Since both families live close, we did the half and half thing and I must say it turned out quite nicely. It was fun to be with both families spending the holiday. We started out Christmas Eve afternoon at Gpa & Gma Hafen's for "linner" and socializing with Jordan's cousin's. Then to my parents for Christmas Eve dinner & presents with my family. Drew was the entertainment for the evening. He's at a fun age where it doesn't matter what he gets, he's just so excited to rip paper. My dad brought in the trash can, and Drew had more fun playing hide-in-seek in there. After the festivities we went home to the Shields and read Luke 2, and opened gifts from Jordan's brothers & sister. In the morning we slept in and then opened presents with them. We got some awesome things from both parents! Christmas Morning we went to Jord's aunt & uncle Paul & Vicki's for yummy breakfast waffles and my favorite dutch oven potatoes, and to see what everyone else in the fam got. Christmas night was the Shields big dinner with family & friends. The food was amazing! Rock Band with the cousins, was so fun, and I was excited to join Trisha & Kim in the Love Lounge. The day after christmas was the Annual Marx Family Christmas Party with my dad's extended family. As usual it was a huge turn out but the Italian style food was an exciting change from traditional turkey.

Now were off to the Shields' cabin in Cedar to spend the New Year. I'm so excited to go relax and watch The Hills seasons on DVD, Jordan's more excited to ride his quads in the snow. If we feel the urge we might venture to Brianhead to hit the slopes. I love vacations where nothing is planned and we can totally relax!

We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!
