Linebacker v. Ballerina

I can't get over how small Miss Brynlee is. I have just been accustom to Carson's "chunkiness," that a small and petite baby is all new to me. Carson was born 8lbs 9oz, compared to Brynlee's 6lbs 14oz. So right there is almost a two pound difference. And let's not forget that Carson came into this world with some fat and rolls, while Baby B is skin and bones.

Let's compare.
Carson
Brynlee
When we were in the hospital, Brynlee was always double wrapped in blankets. I could tell she was small but it didn't dawn on me how little until we went to go home and I was changing her from her hospital gown to a regular onesie and I seriously thought I was going to break her tiny little arms. She just seemed so fragile.

My thoughts were confirmed when we went to our first visit to the pediatrician. At Carson's first visit (and everyone there after) he measured in the 90th percentile for pretty much every category. He gained at least 10oz in the first week that put him well over the 9lb mark. Dr. Mendoza said I had a future linebacker on my hands. During Brynlee's first visit, she gained 2oz, and weighed 7lb even. Her measurements put her into the 25th percentile for everything. Carson couldn't suck down a bottle fast enough, while it takes Brynlee forever to drink 2 ounces.

I love that to me they look so much alike. Brynlee is just a smaller version of Carson as a baby, with dainty features for a little lady.

She is adorable! My boys have also been huge compared to my girls.
