there's two of me out there.

so i had to deposit a check at the bank. the check was made out to jordan and jennifer. i signed the back and hoped that since the checking account has both our names on it, all would be good and jordan wouldn't have to sign too. i filled out the deposit slip, went to the the counter, the lady handed me back the receipt, and right before i left said, "wait, i need jordan to sign this check too before i can deposit it." and i continued, "we are both named on the account so isn't that ok." she then proceeded with, "no only andrew shields is named with you." what? "who's andrew shields, i don't know who that is." she asked for my ID. then DOB. and finally my social. i told her we had two account with them, checking and savings, blah blah. after a few minutes of silence and awkward looks, she finally said, "ok now i've found it. someone else has your same name and birthdate, but your socials are different. i almost deposited your check in the wrong account!"

what are the odds. same name. same birthdate. both in las vegas. thank goodness for socials. i called jordan and told him the story and he swears he doesn't have a relative that he knows of with my name.
