Brotherly Love

It seems like we have been so busy the last month. We had a baby, Zack’s mission farewell, went to the Cabin for Easter, then Sam’s Eagle Court of Honor, Carson’s baby blessing and finally Zack’s setting apart last night to top it all off.
I think it's a special opportunity to have your dad set you apart as a missionary. Very few get that chance. Jordan was the first missionary Pete released when he was called as stake president and since then he's set apart Ian and now Zack, and next year Sam. It was neat to be there with so many close family and friends to hear that blessing and share that moment with them.

We will miss Zack. We will miss him rooting for UNLV, when everyone else wants BYU to win. We will miss his goofiness and random music videos with friends. It's hard to admit, but we will miss his constant chatter at the dinner table on Sunday - it's going to be so quiet for two years. I will miss dancing around with him in the living room to random music that no one else likes but Zack. And we will miss hearing about his weekend adventures with his friends and the crazy things they do.

When Jordan and I started dating, Zack was a pesty 16 year old that was eager to get his license. He's always been the life of the party. He's choosen good friends and never wavered from doing the right thing. I'm proud of the way he's lead his life. He turned from a fun loving teenager into a fine young man.
Since Carson was born, Zack has been right there always wanting to be the first and last to hold him. He loves him to pieces and I never imagined Zack would be so attached to a baby. Carson's going to get so big while he's gone, and when he gets home, his little buddy will be doing laps around him.
